Step into a 7 day immersion held by the Yawanawá and Madhá people, dedicated to the wisdom, healing and strength of women. The Yawá Madehá women’s Retreat (for men and women) invites you into an unforgettable journey of feminine medicine, ancestral teachings, and deep reconnection with the forest and your own inner voice.

  1. Far from the noise of the modern world, the village of Kamicuã offers an extraordinary environment for healing. Surrounded by the living forest, guided by women who carry ancient knowledge, you are welcomed into a space where ceremony, community, nature, and feminine spirit weave together.

    The retreat is hosted at the Runy Pupyngary Yawanawá Centre under the guidance of Nanã and Paxinté, respected women of their lineage’s.

    WHAT AWAITS YOU

    1. Kambo at Sunrise

      Open your retreat journey with a powerful traditional cleansing ritual guided by trained Indigenous practitioners. Kambo strengthens the body, clears emotional weight, and prepares you for the deep work of the week.

      Traditional Body Painting

      Experience the sacred art of Jenipapo and Urucum. These designs are placed with intention and act as protection, grounding and spiritual alignment.

      Three Traditional Uni (AYAHUASCA) Ceremonies

      Held in the evening and guided in the traditional way. Uni supports clarity, emotional and physical healing, expansion, and reconnection with intuition and purpose.

      Daily Sharing Circles

      Safe, intimate spaces for reflection, witnessing, honesty and connection. These circles often become the heart of the retreat.

      Caminho da Jibóia Forest Trail

      A guided walk deep into the rainforest to learn about medicinal plants and their everyday and ceremonial uses. This journey offers direct connection with the forest as teacher and ally.

      Sacred Songs, Story telling and Voice Opening

      Learn healing songs, women’s songs and birth stories and songs that carry ancestral teachings. These songs and stories open the heart and strengthen personal expression.

      Straw Handicraft Workshops

      Explore the traditional weaving practices of the women. Slow, meditative, grounding, and deeply creative.

      Medicinal Herbs Bath

      A plant bath prepared specifically for the group to support cleansing, renewal, and grounding.

      Mapu Clay Bath

      A detoxifying and beautifying ritual using clay and forest herbs. Earthy, playful and deeply purifying.

      Cultural Presentation

      An evening of song, dance, stories, traditional dress, and the living history of the people’s there.

      Traditional Medicine Workshop

      Learn how to prepare ointments, teas, oils and natural remedies used in the village. Practical knowledge you can bring into your daily life.

      Nourishing Organic Meals

      All meals are prepared by the project Flavours and Knowledge of Indigenous Women, using fresh, local and organic ingredients. Food becomes an important part of the healing process.

      Retreat Schedule Overview (be open to adjustments however its the indigenous way, living in a flow with life)

      Day 1

      Arrival, Kambo, body painting, welcome dinner.

      Day 2

      Sharing circles, Women and Medicine, rest time, evening Uni ceremony.

      Day 3

      Rapé and Sananga, sacred songs, medicinal herbs bath, circle on pregnancy and birth, Uni Ceremony.

      Day 4

      Caminho da Jibóia trail, plant identification, forest lunch, rest.

      Day 5

      Straw handicrafts workshop, rest, evening Uni ceremony.

      Day 6

      Cultural presentation, medicine making workshop.

      Day 7

      Mapu clay bath, closing circle, departure.

Investment

£2900 per person

Includes:

• Transfers from hotel to the village and back

• All ceremonies, rituals, workshops and activities

• All meals during the retreat

Not included: airfare, hotel, or meals outside the retreat.

• Respect, consent, and cultural sensitivity guide every moment.

• Participants must be comfortable with simple accommodation (sleeping in hammock with mosquito net), community living and immersion in nature (bugs etc).
